I don't think it's her real name, I can't seem to find any neural network/machine learning papers on Google scholar under this name. After my phd in chemistry, I discovered that every company looking for a new talent considered me overqualified, and every company looking for someone qualified would rather take someone with previous experience in their specific field. basically, after a decade of getting top marks at the highest levels of instruction, i was told that society doesn't really need my instruction. I understand perfectly your situation, I've been there myself, and I support your choice.

I completely understand where you're coming from. I've done two post docs in the biomedical sciences, and worked at three companies. They all burn you out in their unique ways. No judgement, as life is tough for everyone. You have to take care of yourself first, as, other than your family (if you're lucky) will do so.

hey zara, so as a content creator myself i completely understand wanting that stability a occupation would offer but as content creators we have the freedom to create what we want when we want, how we want where as in a job there is time constraints, restrictions and other such things that prevent us from making our content. i still treat my content like a job even tho it isnt and im only a small time creator, it just i enjoy the routine and freedom of it. so chin up!

It’s a simple game of numbers. OF simply pays more in less time, that’s what society values. And It’s ok. At some point there will be a deficit of phd due to people who opted out like you and then we will value them. Economics is a game of cycles. Good luck!

As someone who's currently going down the corporate STEM pathway, I can relate to a lot of what you've said. Both the good (e.g., camaraderie) and the bad (e.g., layoffs). I've heard stories of people who did well at OnlyFans or other kinds of sex work and were able to achieve financial freedom at a young age. Since you already made over $1M while doing it on the side, I think you'll be one of the successful ones. Keep treading your own path, invest your money sensibly, and you'll do great
